DIY Summer Top

Pintrest has inspired me again. I had some fabric just sitting on the shelf collecting dust so I thought I would put it to good use before the summer is done and I have no need for light and airy fabric.

A loooooong time ago I pinned this along with 1.2 million other gals and I always came back to this tutorial because it sounded easy and its just my style of top especially when I'm nursing. I wanted to make it one time following all the directions so I could get the hang of it. Next time I think I might add some sleeves or take out the flutter sleeves and lengthen it to look like this...so cute.

So here...

Initial cutting stages.

And final product. I really dislike taking phone shots in this direction - I feel really awkward and all I can stare at is the dang phone but my Ryan wasn't around so this is what you get.
The tutorial was really simple to follow and I think it turned out pretty well. It took me nearly most of the day because I had to set up and take down for meal times and the kids...they can only watch Netflix for so long.
The fabric was from Fabric.com. I really really really don't like taking the kids to the fabric store and Fabric.com delivers right to your door for free if your cart has more than $35 so pile in the fabric and get it shopped to yo house.
