My Latest Crush

I have a new crush. Not to cheat on my current Sig but the Sig P938 Nightmare is pretty sweet. It's got nightmare in its name - if that doesn't make you want to check out a gun I don't know what will. Now I haven't had the chance to shoot one of these puppies yet but from what I hear it handles well.

Here let's take a look at the P230 that I already own (a Christmas present from my pops) and the P938 Nightmare.

 The P938 Nightmare

The Sig P230

I would say on just looks alone the P230 wins hands down and it is really concealable due to the sleekness of it all. The P938 is a little more clunky looking and will be harder to conceal with the squared off edges. I tend to wear articles of clothing that fit a little more tightly than say a mumu so I have to be careful when packing heat because those sharp little edges of a gun will show through my t-shirts.

Reasons why I'm liking the P938:

1. Well, its got the stopping power of a 9mm that the .380 just doesn't have. Enough said.

2. It has a safety decocking lever and I really like having a safety. I'm used to functioning with a safety and I had to retrain myself to not look for one on the P230.

3. The magazine release in a normal spot and not on the grip heel like the P230. Not that I do any speed loading these days but mechanically it's a bit harder for me to reach for the bottom when changing out my magazines.

4. And it is supposed to be extremely accurate and handle recoil well.

If I get to shoot one of these soon, I'll give you a range report and a report on whether or not I still like it. Chances are this little lady will make it onto a birthday or Christmas wish list.
